Carlo Virgilio/卡洛·維吉里奧，意大利博洛尼亞人，2015年畢業(yè)于英國(guó)伯明翰大學(xué)，獲拜占庭史方向博士學(xué)位。主要研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)橹惺兰o(jì)地中海史、文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期的意大利、早期奧斯曼帝國(guó)史、佛羅倫薩史等。研究專長(zhǎng)為佛羅倫薩與拜占庭帝國(guó)和奧斯曼帝國(guó)之間的關(guān)系（社會(huì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)、外交等方面），以及中世紀(jì)地中海世界的政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)和文化交流。

近期主要研究方向：1. 中世紀(jì)地中海史 2. 文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期的意大利 3. 早期奧斯曼帝國(guó)史 4. 佛羅倫薩史 5. 中世紀(jì)經(jīng)濟(jì)史6. 拜占庭史
